Mukesh Ambani has announced a 5000 acre Solar Electricity complex by the name of the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex in Jamnagar of Gujarat.
This facility will be one of the largest such integrated renewable energy manufacturing facilities in the world and it will be completed through a three part plan. And the first part of the plan to build Four Giga Factories. They will be for production of solar energy, storage of the energy, production of green hydrogen and finally converting it back to power where necessary.
The second part of the plan is to provide infrastructure and materials to support the four Giga factories. It will mostly be done in house in the Jamnagar complex so that all materials are present in the location at necessary time. Partnerships will also be formulated to help in supplying the necessary resources.
The third part of the plan is to re-purpose the capabilities of Reliance Industries, along with major international organisations to execute and deliver world class, renewable energy solutions. To achieve this two additional divisions will be created. A dedicated Renewable Energy Project Management and Construction Division and a dedicated Renewable Energy Project Finance Division.
Once completed, this project will help India’s energy sector multifold.
