Reliance Retail has started the roll out of its new commerce initiative for businesses and shop owners in
Guwahati with a new campaign for its JioMart Partner App and the JioSmart Kirana program. These initiatives are in line with the vision of promoting inclusive growth and shared wealth for businessmen and micro entrepreneurs of the city.
New Commerce Propositions
JioMart Partner: Businessmen can easily become a JioMart Partner by simply downloading the JioMart Partner app on their mobile phone and start ordering. The core idea behind this is to Buy Better and Get Free Next Day Delivery.
JioSmart Kirana Programme: Small shopkeepers can also become part of the JioSmart Kirana Program by opting for the JioPOS technical device against a refundable security deposit of Rs. 3000. The JioPOS device can be used for placing orders, to manage inventory, for billing and invoicing of all customer purchases, accepting digital payments as well as to offer savings on consumers’ billings. The shopkeeper can also send out discount coupons to the consumers though this POS device and the discount coupon can be redeemed on the particular JioPOS at the time of billing.
Once the shopkeeper maintains a specific level of ordering and inventory through the JioPOS device, and the capability to undertake home delivery, Reliance Retail will integrate such shops with the JioMart consumer app. These shops will then function as JioSmart Kirana Stores and will start receiving online orders placed on JioMart app by consumers in their own neighborhood.
Store Transformation: Merchants can also choose to modernize their stores into self service outlets though an easy and cheap store transformation option offered under the program. Over the past year, nearly 3 lakh merchants or shop keeper partners across 150 cities were enabled and empowered to transform their businesses both physically and digitally under this initiative.
