After success of the Indian Space Research Organisation to bring India to a commanding position in the space sector, the private sector of the country has also put its first steps in the field. Mission Prarambh marks the very first successful step of the Indian private sector in space projects.
At 11:30 AM (IST) of 18th of November the first successful launch by a private party was carried out. The launch took place from the spaceport of Sriharikota. Named Mission Prarambh, the launch done by a Hyderabad based startup named Skyroot Aerospace pvt. ltd. They used their own rocket propulsion system named the Vikram-S for this launch.
The project was supported by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center as well as the Indian Space research Organisation. And the payload of the mission included two Indian and one Armenian satellite.
Earlier this week the company had announced the schedule of the launch. Several leaders and organisations congratulated the Skyroot Aerospace on the success of this endeavor. The owners also thanked all the people and organisations that helped them achieve this target. They also shared a video to show the successful launch and reaching of the targeted height in due time.
