The pineapples produced in the region are known for their taste. But local produce rarely get a good price in the local markets. Selling them at a different location which does not produce these fruits for higher prices bring more profits to the farmers. Expressing his happiness about this deal, the chief minister of Assam asked the producers to concentrate more on large scale production and marketing of their products. This way, more and more people and enterprises will be able to learn more about the products available here.
Also lemons from the Baksa district of Assam were also exported to Great Britain few days back.
