Shripad Naik is the Union Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping and Waterways. And he reviewed the preparations for the upcoming G20 Tourism Meetings. The Tourism meetings are scheduled to be held from 19th to 22nd June 2023 in Goa.
The minister of state undertook a comprehensive review of the preparations for the G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting. After going through the arrangement, the minister expresses his satisfaction. He also mentioned that this meeting will yield positive results for all the participating countries. The venue will see the 4th G20 Tourism Working Group Meeting as well as the Tourism Ministerial Meeting. Representatives of a total of 13 countries are expected to take part in the meetings.
The Regional Director of the Western and Central Region of India Tourism, Venkatesan Dhattereyan was also present. The G20 Nodal Officer for the Goa Government, Sanjit Rodrigues was also present.
The participants of the meetings will be able to enjoy the beautiful Goan traditions and culture. The minister also highlighted that each delegate will be an ambassador for his or her own country. This will be an excellent opportunity to promote Goa and the entire country in terms of tourism. Apart from the usual cultural presentations and cuisines, special arrangements have been made. Including a special excursion to the Old Goa Church and the Mangueshi Temple for the delegates.
It is important to note that the International Day of Yoga is held annually on June 21. Since the event will fall between the meetings in Goa, foreign officials are also expected to take part. The main event will be organized in the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhawan said Shripad Naik. And all the G20 Ministers and delegates are expected to take an active part in this special session.
