The Union Bank of India has announced its new campaign to promote cyber security. They have adopted two new Cyber Security Mascots to promote cyber security awareness among its staff as well as customers. The aim of this initiative in the Cyber Security Domain is to make the bank robust and cyber safe.
Cyber Security Mascots have been named U SuरKsha (Female Mascot) and UरKshak (Male Mascot). And they were unveiled by Ms. A. Manimekhalai, MD & CEO, Union Bank of India in Mumbai. These mascots will enable the spread digital awareness among Bank’s customers. And thus protect them against the dangers of the cyber world. They will also help in the spreading of awareness about cyber fraud cases which are rampant in the country.
The bank has taken this step to meet the guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to observe the 1st Wednesday of every month as Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas. It also puts special emphasis on capacity building of employees to deal with the challenges of cyber crimes.
On the same occasion, the bank also launched Cyber Badges, Cyber Cards, Cyber Security Play Book, Cyber Moment on Cyber Safety and Security measures for capacity building of employees to deal with the new challenges.
