Liquor to be served in Delhi Restaurants, clubs and hotels in from September 9th till 30th on a trial basis. However, the outlets coming under containment zones will remain closed.
The proposal to allow the outlets with excise license to serve liquor have been approved by Lt Governor Anil Baijal, who is also the Chairman of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
As per the SOPs issued, only 50 per cent seating capacity will be allowed and the outlets will have to ensure santization & thermal screening provision at the entrance for customers. No customer will be allowed entry without a mask.
The outlets will have to frequently sanitize the premises apart from sanitizing the tables, chairs and seating area every time a customer leaves. Special attention to be given to areas including Washrooms, toilets and wash basins.
Liquor will not be served to standing customers and spitting is strictly prohibited.
Only asymptomatic staff will be allowed work and it is mandatory for them to wear face-masks and gloves.
If the establishments fail to comply with the SOPs issued by DDMA, they will have to face strict actions including cancellation of license.
Post 30th September, the DDMA will review the situation make further announcements.
