Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro issues advisory

The Northeastern part of India has been receiving a huge amount of rainfall in the past few days. The District Administration of Kamrup Metropolitan has issued an advisory for all the citizens in view of the rainfall.

Guwahati has also been receiving a large amount of rain. With continuous rainfall since yesterday morning, large parts of the city came under serious waterlogging problems. Several incidents of landslides have also been reported across the city. In one incident of landslide, death of four labourors have been reported.

The meteorology department has also issued a notification saying that this weather condion and rainfall might prevail for the next two days.

In view of the situation, the local administration has issued an urgent advisory. It requests all the people of the city not to go out if it’s not absolutely necessary. For the people residing in the flood prone and low lying areas, they have been requested to move to higher grounds. And people in landslide prone areas are request to shift elsewhere temporarily.
