After the successful launch of EmpowerHer, the Union Bank of India has launched a new initiative named EmpowerHim. It is aimed to support the men working in the organisation under its human resource project Prerna.
EmpowerHim is a first of its kind initiative in the sector. It is Union Bank’s career-focused team dedicated to tackle all issues of the employees starting at the lowest levels. It aims to provide a comfortable platform for everyone to freely express their concerns and needs. The committee aims to counsel employees, encourage active participation in leadership roles and improve performance and productivity.
With members from across the country, committee will directly engage with the bank management to develop necessary structural changes. The key objective is to establish Union Bank of India as the most preferred employer brand in the banking sector.
EmpowerHim was launched by Ms. A Manimekhalai, MD and CEO of the Union Bank of India. The event was attended by the senior management along with more than 60 members of the committee members from across the country. This committee will work closely with the previously created EmpowerHer team which has been created to safeguard the women.
Prena is aimed to improve the efficiency and overall productivity of the organisation. Key steps include digitization of all processes, employee centrist interventions and bringing a learning revolution.
