The Union Bank of India has launched a Cyber Security Awareness Kit. They also inaugurated an automated Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing lab at their Cyber Security Center of Excellence in Hyderabad. It was created with the aim of spreading cyber security awareness among its staff members, customers and other stakeholders.
The launch event was spearheaded by K M Reddy, Chief Information Security Officer, Union Bank of India. The launch saw the presence of Rajkiran Rai G, MD & CEO, Shri Narendra Nath G, Joint Secretary, National Security Council Secretariat – Government of India, P R Lakshmi Eswari, Director-CDAC, Hyderabad and Executive Directors – Gopal Singh Gusain, Sh. Nitesh Ranjan and Rajneesh Karnatak.
This kit includes a multi-lingual pocket book and cyber security awareness calendar for 2022 among other things. Besides, Union Bank of India, in collaboration with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. An e-Book named Union Shield on cyber security awareness was also launched for all the stakeholders in all 6 languages.
Union Bank of India has its own Cyber Security Center of Excellence in Hyderabad to strengthen cyber security activities of the bank which include providing cyber security awareness training and workshops to all its employees, vendors and customers which houses the Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing lab.
