In a attempt to bring Shri Amarnath ji Shrine closer to the Indian masses, Reliance Jio has introduced a virtual experience of live streaming of the Aarti on JioTV. This is expected to benefit millions of Hindu devotees across
the country.
The Amarnath Yatra 2021 was cancelled by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) because of the ongoing Covid 19 global pandemic. Due to this devotees won’t be able to undertake the sacred pilgrimage to the holy shrine this year.
And to ensure that the devotees can continue to connect with holiness and participate in this sacred pilgrimage, Jio has launched a virtual experience. This includes the following facilities.
- Live streaming of Aartis on Shri, a new channel on Jio TV.
- Virtual Pooja & Hawan through Jio Meet allowing devotees to join a virtual Puja room with the priest at the shrine and have a dedicated performance in their name and gotra.
- Chalo Amarnath, a playlist curated on JioSaavn comprising songs and bhajans dedicated to Lord Amarnath.
- Amarnath Darshan Channel on JioChat providing information on live Darshan, Aarti timings, methodology for offerings and donations as well as live Aarti broadcasts.
Despite extremely challenging terrain and weather conditions, Jio has set up the necessary infrastructure required to deliver Aarti live feed and also developed other services across various platforms and apps within a very short turn-around time for the devotees of Shri Amarnath ji.
How to visit Shri Amarnath Temple virtually
