Guwahati: Durga Puja 2024 is just around the corner and the Maa Kamakhya Devalaya is preparing to host the festival.
On 25 September, the Krishna Navami Puja will start. The temple’s door will be closed at 2:00 PM. On that day, the maximum limit of pilgrims will be 2000. The Murti Darshan timing will be from morning 7:00 A.M. to 2:00 PM. No VIP/ VVIP passes will remain closed on this day.
From 26 September to 9 October 2024, the temple’s door will be open at 8:30 A.M. And after the offering of Bhoga to Devi Maa in the evening Aarati rituals will be performed. On these days, the temple authorities will issue a limited number of special passes.
On 10 October Saptami Puja will be celebrated. The temple’s door will open at 10:00 A.M. In the evening, after offering Bhoga to Devi Maa, Aarati rituals will be performed. No special darshan facility will be available on this date.
On 11 October Ashtami and Navami Puja will be celebrated. The temple’s door will be open at 1:30 PM. in the afternoon. And for the pilgrims, Darshan will be limited to 1200 only. On that day after morning rituals/ puja, gate number I will open for Darshan and after 10:00 A.M. gate number 2 will be open for Darshan. No VIP/VVIP passes will be issued for this day.
On 12 October, Dashami Puja will be celebrated. The temple’s door will be open at 10:00 A.M. After offering Bhoga to Devi Maa (at 1:00 PM. close for Bhoga) the temple’s door will be closed in the evening.
The mentioned arrangements are taken, keeping in mind and in synchronisation with the Durga Puja 2024 dates. And the Maa Kamakhya Devalaya naked for the help and cooperation of all the pilgrims.
