Indian Army has ordered its personnel to delete 89 apps from their smartphones on Wednesday including Facebook. The order has been enforced to ensure no sensitive information is leaked.
All accounts on these apps are to be deleted and then uninstalled. These is to be done on both Android and iOS platforms.
This decision comes about a week after the Central Govt decided to ban 59 Chinese origin apps in India. Apart from Facebook the list includes apps like Instagram, PUBG, TikTok, Tinder etc.
