Approved as Immune Booster Kit, Not Corona Virus Medicine : Licence Officer on Patanjali’s Coronil


Refering to Patanjali‘s latest product ‘Coronil’, licence officer of Uttarakhand Ayurved Department on Wednesday clarified that the licence issued to Patanjali was for the production of immunity booster kits and fever medicine and not for any Anti-Corona medicine. “We only approved license for immunity booster, cough & fever. We’ll issue them a notice asking how they got permission to make the kit (for COVID19)”, said he said.

After claiming that Patanjali has found a cure for Covid-19 , Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday launched the Patanjali product ‘Coronil’. This is claimed to be the first ever Ayurvedic medicine to cure Covid-19 within 3-15 days.

The ground breaking claims by Patanjali have given rise to several questions and debates within hours of the launch of Coronil.

Eventually, Ministry of AYUSH ordered Patanjali Ayurved to stop advertising its claims of having a Covid-19 treatment drug until it is fully examined.

According to reports, facts of the claim and details of the stated scientific study are not known to the Ministry and complete details of the supposed medicines have been sought by AYUSH.

On Wednesday, Ministry of AYUSH confirmed that they have recieved the required details.
