The Royal Bhutan Airline Drukair has resumed its direct flights between Guwahati and Singapore after a long gap due to the Covid 19 global pandemic.
International flights from Guwahati has resumed on the 3rd of September 2022. It was kept on halt for more than two years due to the pandemic. Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International airport will now handle direct flights directly to and from the Singapore Changi Airport. The international airline to work this route is The Royal Bhutan Airline Drukair.
As of now, Drukair will operate a Airbus A319 between the destinations. Named Drukair Flight KB 540, this will be a weekly service between the two countries. It will leave Guwahati at 9:10 AM every Saturday and reach the destination Singapore Changi Airport by 4:10 PM local time. The return flight will depart Singapore Changi Airport every Sunday on 12:30 and reach Guwahati by 2:30 PM local time.
This service will encourage more tourism opportunities in the region. The decrease in travel time will also enable the growth in trade and commerce between the countries. As of now, Drukair is the only international carrier operating out of Guwahati, which is the only international airport of Northeast India.
