T20 Cricketer Now Working as Food Delivery Guy Laments Turn of Events

The ongoing pandemic put a halt on many global events including the T20 World Cup 2020 scheduled to be held at Melbourne Cricket ground in Australia.

If things had gone as planned, Sunday i.e. 15th November would have been the final match of the world cup. The game got postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, Dutch bowler Paul Van Meekeren took to twitter to share how the pandemic changed the course of his life. The day on which he would have been playing cricket, he is actually delivering food to sustain himself.

“Should’ve been playing cricket today 😏😢 now I’m delivering Uber eats to get through the winter months!! Funny how things change hahaha keep smiling people 😁”, he tweeted.

Born in the Netherlands, Paul made his international debut in 2013 in a T20 game against Kenya. So far, he has played 5 ODIs and 41 T20s for the Ductch team.
