A fifteen day acting workshop for children was stated today in the Shankardev Nagar near Adingiri in Guwahati. This workshop is aimed not only teach acting to the children, but also at their all-round development.
This acting workshop is organised by the Guwahati based non governmental organisation Abhigyanm. Abhigyanm also organizes the Adingiri Rasthriya Natyo Utsav in the same picturesque location. The fourth version of the theater festival is scheduled to take place towards the end of January 2022. And participation of nationwide groups are are expected in this event.
Speaking to Discover East, the President of Abhigyanm, noted producer and director Manabendra Ranhang Choudhury said that this 15 day acting workshop is production oriented and on successful completion, they will take part in the upcoming festival. This workshop will also include sessions from veteran actors and special guests from the industry to teach and train the participants.
This workshop is happening for the second time in the Adingiri Natokhetro and has a participation of more than thirty participating children from the region. And the workshop takes place in the afternoon in the premises of the Abhigyanm Natyokhetro. This allows the children to join the workshop after attending the regular classes at school.
