The Muhurat of an upcoming Assamese film, Gangs of a Family was held today Jyoti Chitraban in Guwahati in presence of cast, crew and guests.
Gangs of a Family has been written and directed by Javed Kaisar. The film set in Assam in the 90s and based on an illegal perfumer and the property dispute following his death. It is also his first Assamese feature film. Along with the muhurat of the film, the first poster was also unveiled in front of the cast, crew and the invited dignitaries.
The film is produced by Mustaba Ali and Javed Kaisar under the banner of Boyhood Entertainment. The cast includes Podmarag Goswami, Rajiv Kro, Manoj Gogoi, Joyoshree Chakarborty, Rajkumar Thakur, Dipankar Gayan, Sharif Mirza, Durgashree Borah and Pranami Bora playing key roles.
Noted actor Pabitra Rabha of Bob Biswas fame is conducting a workshop with the cast and crew of the film. Cinematographer Nahid Ahmed is the director of photography while music for the film is being done by Kaysee and Probin Kalita.
The film will be shot at various locations in and around Guwahati, Mirza, Mangaldoi and Kukurmara. The shoot will begin from the 25th of January, and we will be completing it within 30 days.
