The Arunachal Literature Festival is the biggest gathering literature enthusiasts of the state. And the 4th edition of this event started in the campus of the Rajib Gandhi University today.
The event aims to make more and more people aware aware about the literary heritage of the state. It also aims to encourage the people of the state to read and write more. Another important goal of hosting the annual Arunachal Literature Festival is to showcase and highlight the writers and poets of the state.
The event is organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations of Arunachal Pradesh and the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society. This edition of the event is themed Building bridges through literature. And the main focus this year is on reading, creative thinking and expressions. A series of interactive sessions will also be arranged to mark the occasion and help the upcoming literature enthusiasts of the state.
Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein was present in the opening ceremony. Speaking on the occasion he highlighted the importance of documenting the rich oral literature. Specially the different tribes across the state and the need of its preservation and prosperity.
Several experienced writers were present for the event along with budding enthusiasts.
