As the rains subside and the weather gradually grows cooler, Northeast India gears up for the festival season. This year’s event calendar was kick-started quite early with Lokmanthan 2022 happening in Guwahati. With the Ziro Festival of Music just round the corner, Meghalaya Tourism has revealed the phase 1 lineup of artists for the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2022.
Daryl Diengdoh will host the first day of the event. Hybrid Theory will perform a tribute to late Chester Bennington of Linkin Park on the opening day. Music legend from Shillong, Lou Majaw will also perform on the first day. Street Stories, Fame the Band and The Band Phantasm will also perform.
Second day will see the Papon Live, Snow White, Dappest x adl and RHEM. And Meba Nongrum will be the host for the day. Day three will see performances from HRVY, Jessie Lyngdoh, Meba Ofilia, Summersalt and Da Minot. Hosting the night will be Ivan Suting. The forth day will be a funfair for the DJ music lovers and hosted by the Nikhil Chinapa. Performers including Jonas Blue, Nikhil Chinapa, dj zethan and D BRYN will be on stage that day.
The music concert of the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2022 will be happening from the 23rd to the 26th of November. And the venue of the Phase 1 lineup remains the Polo Grounds in Shillong.
