Pohor, the annual photography competition and exhibition of the Photography Club of Assam started today. And as a part of the 10th anniversary celebration, a host of workshops have also been organised.
The club has scheduled all the workshops on the third day of the exhibition. That is on the 10th of September of 2022 and the venue will be the Artists’ Guild located in Chandmari. The exhibition opens for public at 11 AM on this Saturday and the first workshop starts at 11.30 AM.
The first workshop is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and Arup Mazumder is going to be the instructor. The topic of this event is Elements of Fine Arts in Photography.
The second session is going to be a discussion and knowledge sharing session by prominent photographers. Himanka B Deka, Pushpita Chowdhury and Neeraj K Phookan will be the Photographers on the Dias. And the timing for this post lunch event will be from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
Bidyasagar Baruah, the chairman of the Photography Club of Assam will be taking the third workshop. Entitled Narrative to Expression: Transitioning to a more Artistic Approach , it aims to give a deeper insight to the art.
The offline photography exhibition opens for public at 2 PM on Friday and Sunday. The exhibition closes for public at 7 PM everyday except on the final day. The Photography Club of Assam has scheduled the ending ceremony at 5:30 PM on the coming Sunday. The online exhibition shall remain open and accessible from across the globe 24×7 after today’s opening.
