One of the most popular events of Northeast India, the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival is coming in a whole new avatar this year. The RBDSA Sports Complex in Bhoirymbong will be the home for Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2023. And the dates for this year’s event are 17, 18 and 19 November.
The organizers have not only changed the venue, but also the format of the event. This year’s festival will have an all new multi stage layout at the new destination.
The organizers have also released a list of the star performers for this edition of the event. The headliner line-up for the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2023 includes several internationally acclaimed sensations. Including Ne-Yo, Ronan Keating, Sanam, Jonas Blue, SURL, Pink Panda and Kenny Musik. A number of eminent local talents including Meba Ofilia, Lou Majaw, Blue Temptation, and many more will perform. Several other local and regional sensations will also perform this year.
Also, the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2023 is not just about music. The event will have several other activities including fun zones and adventure sports. The Miss and Mr Cherry Blossom Pageant will recognise the essence of beauty and grace. Also, the choir contest will be a celebration of harmonious melodies. And the graffiti contest and art installation contest will transform the festival grounds into an open-air art gallery. Also the enthusiasts can participate in a karaoke contest during the festival.
Apart from these activities, the organizers announced that they will set up a massive Ferris wheel at the venue. This Ferris wheel will also allow the visitors to have a breathtaking view of the festival grounds. And for the adrenaline junkies, there will be a zipline across the festival ground.
