Guwahati: IIT Guwahati’s techno-management fest Techniche 2024 starts on 29 August and continues till 1 September. The event is expected to be a hub of Innovation, creativity, and minds from across the nation.
Techniche 2024 will attract participants from prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, and other renowned colleges from across the country. Students from multiple academic backgrounds will compete in challenging events designed to push the boundaries of innovation and technical expertise. Notable competitions include Robowars, showcasing engineering ingenuity, and Aqua Wars, where participants navigate underwater robotics.
Beyond competition, Techniche 2024 will feature the Nexus and Lecture Series, where distinguished speakers from various industries and academia will share invaluable insights, enriching students’ educational journeys.
In keeping with its mission to contribute to society, Team Techniche has actively engaged in CSR activities. These initiatives include a Brahmaputra River cleaning drive, hand wash and sanitiser distribution to underprivileged areas, sanitary pads drive in girls’ schools, a blood donation camp on the IIT Guwahati campus, and a free dental checkup camp at the institute.
The event will also offer a variety of entertainment options, including a Bollywood night and a comedy night, providing attendees with a break from the competition. Additionally, this year’s fest introduces Legacy, an esports competition that promises to captivate participants and audiences alike. Participants will enjoy free access to Pronite, exhibitions, and other fest attractions.
Samyak Sharma, Convener of Techniche 2024 invited everyone to the latest edition of the annual event. He mentioned that the 3-day and 4-night event would be the perfect combination of the technological and the managerial worlds. He added that they are expecting a footfall of over 50,000 people during the event. Students, professionals and experts will be able to take part in initiatives and competitions at the event. Also, events ranging from robotics to consultancy, lectures, industrial conclaves, workshops and many more.
