The Y20 meets are a part of the ongoing G20 Meets being hosted across the country. The first of the Y20 meets began today in the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
Students and youth from the participating nations of the G20 meets are participating in this three day event. According to reports, more than 100 foreign delegates are part of this mega event. Many students of several Indian educational institutions are also part of this event.
The day started with a yoga session for the participants of the events. Both foreign guests and students of the institution took part in this event. The event also saw multiple panel discussions. Topics of these events ranged from Climate Change to Industry 4.0 and Peace and Reconciliation in the region. These events were hosted in the first half of the day.
The event also included an exhibition to showcase the technological advances. New innovations and research projects were also exhibited for the guests of this event. The second half of the day saw two more panel discussions. The first one was about the duties and responsibilities of Youth in Democracy and Governance and the second one was on Health, Well-being and Sports.
The Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports for Government of India, Anurag Thakur also attended the event. He met and interacted with the delegates representing their countries in the Y20 Inception meeting.
