One of the biggest musical events in Northeast India, the Ziro Festival of Music 2023 is just a few days away. This year’s event is scheduled to start on September 28. And it is scheduled to end on October 1.
Several local and national bands and independent artists are expected to perform this year. The Ziro Festival is known mainly for the performances of independent artists. It is also an attempt to follow eco-friendly practices and to keep the use of non-biodegradable materials at a minimum.
Ziro Festival of Music 2023 is the 10th edition of this festival. Special care has been taken about the district administration to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The Ziro Literary Fest is another event that takes place on the sidelines of the music festival. It attempts to encourage the arts of reading as well as writing among the local people of the region. This year’s Ziro Literary Fest will take place on September 27 and 28 at Saint Claret College in Ziro.
Season passes, which are valid for all four days of the event cost Rs 8000. Early bird passes were released for Rs 6000 for all the days. Single-day passes cost Rs 2500 or Rs 3000 per person based on the selected day of the event. These prices are however not inclusive of taxes.
The exact lineup of artists for Ziro Music Festival 2023 has not been revealed yet. But their social media handles have revealed a few names of performers. These include Baba Sehgal and Sivamani. A few campsite organizers have also started taking bookings for the music festival. Ziro has a very limited number of hotels, resorts and home stays. Also, their high prices during the festival make the campsites a popular choice among visitors.
