The fifth match of Group D of the Durand Cup held at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium turned out to be a draw. This match was played between Army Green FT and Sudeva Delhi FC. Both the teams were evenly matched. But there were quite a few goal attempts made by the Army Green FT which should have been converted.
In the forth match of the Group D of the tournament, Odisha FC clearly overpowered the Kerala Blasters FC. The match which was a tie till the half time, ended with 2 : 0 in favor of Odisha FC. The same team had beat Northeast United FC 6 : 0 in the first match. And thus they are now at the top of the Group D in points.
The forth match of the Group C also turned out to be a draw between two powerful teams. This match was played between the Army Red FT and Neroca FC in the Khuman Lampak Stadium of Imphal. After four group matches, Neroca FC maintains the top position of the Group C.
The local crowd is eagerly waiting for the next match of of the home team, Northeast United FC. After two defeats, the team management had said that a better team will play from the match on Saturday. The match will be against the Kerala Blasters FC. With six matches out of ten being over, Northeast United FC is still at the bottom of the Group D in terms of points.
