The biggest competition in the arena of international football flags off tomorrow in Qatar as the FIFA World Cup 2022 gets ready to kick off.
A total of 32 countries will compete for the trophy of FIFA World Cup 2022. The organizers have divided the competitors into a total of eight groups. The matches will be played over a duration of almost a month. The semi-finals of the tournament are scheduled for the 14th and 15th of December. While the final match will be played on the 18th of December.
The host country of Qatar is already experiencing a rise in tourists for the tournament. The country has constructed seven new stadiums to handle this sporting event. A new airport and several new road and hotels have been created over the time of last twelve years since the announcement of the event.
The recent ban on the sale of beer in the stadiums has however not been taken very well by fans. The ban was put because of the orthodox nature of the host Islamic nation. And this is the first time that this tournament has been organised in such a nation. This announcement was made just two days before the kick off of the football competition.
