The International Cricket Council has released the fixtures of the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. India is the host country for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. And the tournament flags off on October 5 in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
England will face New Zealand in the first match of the tournament on October 5. And the final match will be played in the same Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19. The first semi final will be played on November 15 in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Also the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata will host the second semi final on November 16.
India will play their first match against Australia on October 8 in the MA Chidambaram in Chennai. They will face Afghanistan in their second match on October 11 in Arun Jaitley Stadium of Delhi. India and arch-enemies Pakistan will come face to face in their next match. And the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host this high voltage match.
In the following matches India will face Bangladesh in the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on October 19. And New Zealand in Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on October 22. Also England on October 29 in Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. India and South Africa will face each other in Eden Gardens of Kolkata on November 5.
India will also face Qualifier 2 in the Wankhede Stadium of Mumbai on November 2. And the Qualifier 1 in the MChinnaswamy Stadium of Bengaluru on November 11.
A total of ten stadiums from across India will host all the cricket matches of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The host cities are Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata.
