The city of Guwahati is ready to witness its first-ever IPL match on Wednesday. And the whole city is gearing up for this sporting event. In connection with the same, the Radisson Blu Hotel is hosting the Rajasthan Royals team.
The Rajasthan Royals team of the Indian Premier League had declared the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Barsapara of Guwahati as its home ground. And two of their home matches will now be played in the same stadium.
The team will be staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel for the duration of the matches. Guwahati will witness their first match on April 5 against Punjab Kings starting at 7:30 PM. While the second match will be against Delhi Capitals on April 8 and starts at 3:30 PM.
The players of the Rajasthan Royals team arrived in Guwahati on Monday. They were welcomed at the airport with traditional dance and music before proceeding for their stay. The hotel authorities greeted them with the traditional Eri Shawls on arrival. Fans and enthusiasts had gathered at the airport to see their favorite cricketers.
The Radisson Blu Hotel is one of the biggest five-star hotels in the region. They will be hosting the team for the duration of their stay. In the past, they had hosted the Indian Cricket Team as well as visiting foreign teams. The hotel has also hosted multiple ISL teams in the past. The hotel also has some of the top-of-the-class facilities in terms of food, stay as well as amenities.
