The sale of tickets for the India vs South Africa T20 match to be hosted in Guwahati will open tomorrow. This message was conveyed in a press meet by the Assam Cricket Association today.
The match scheduled for the 2nd of October will take place in the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. This ground has a total capacity of around 38600 viewers. And a total of 20000 tickets out of these will be sold online. Apart from these tickets, 42 affiliate units will receive a total of 11500 tickets.
Prices of the ticket start at Rs. 475 for students. Rest of them are priced at 1500, 2000, 3000, 3500, 4000 and 6000.
Tickets of this match will be sold via BookMyShow. And the sale opens at 11 AM tomorrow, that is the 16th of September. A total of 15000 tickets will be the first phase of tickets to be sold to the public. The second phase will be opened after ten days, that is the 26th of the September. And it will sale 5000 more tickets, and additional tickets which remain unsold from the affiliated cricket units of the state.
Hard copy of tickets will be essential for entry in the ground on match day. One can collect the same from the Nehru Stadium from 25th. Home delivery of the confirmed tickets have also been arranged via carrier for those who cannot collect them personally.
The India vs South Africa is the first international match happening in Guwahati after a long time. And the cricket enthusiasts across the region are eagerly waiting for the same. The authorities have completed ample arrangements and maintenance for the match. In addition to the existing resources, two rapidly deployable covers have been procured to prevent any problem due to rains.
