Traffic Regulations for the India vs Sri Lanka ODI in Guwahati

The local administration has released the a list of traffic regulations ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka ODI. These regulations have kept in mind the possible traffic problems that might arise because of the match.

The India vs Sri Lanka ODI will be played from in the Assam Cricket Association Stadium on January 10. The match is scheduled to start in the afternoon at 1.30 PM.

The following are the restrictions on the movement of vehicles issued by the traffic police.

  1. Commercial goods carriers with four or more wheels are restricted in the Guwahati City stretches of NH 27 and 17. This will be valid from 7 AM to 11:30 PM of January 10.
  2. 3 wheeler commercial goods carriers will be will be restricted on AK Azad Road and AK Dev Road. These will be valid from 7 AM to 11:30 PM on January 10.
  3. A K Azad Road will be a one way road from 10 AM to 11:30 PM. Vehicles from Cycle Factory Side towards Lakhra Chariali will be allowed. Except vehicles with match passes, school busses and emergency vehicles, no vehicle will be allowed from Lakhra Chariali side.
  4. Barsapara Road will be a one way road from Barsapara Tiniali to Dhirenpara Tiniali side. Only match pass holders and local residents will be allowed on this road. No entry will be imposed on the other side.

Entry to the Barsapara Cricket Stadium for India vs Sri Lanka ODI

  1. Gate Number I B: Has been earmarked for the invitees only with car passes. They will enter via A.K. Azad Road. They will move fro Barsapara Tiniali to Barsapara Stadium.
    There will be six (06) Gates for the entry of spectators
  2. Gate Number 2 on Barsapara Road will enter via Barsapara Tiniali (AK Azad Road).
  3. Gate Number 3 on R G. Banta Path will enter via Godrej Gali / Rolling Mill (AK Azad Road)
  4. Gate Number 4 on Rolling Mill Road will enter via Rolling Mill Tiniali (AK Azad Road)
  5. Gate Number 5 on Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Path will enter via Raghunath Road, (AK Deb Road)
  6. Gate Number 6 on Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Path will enter via Raghunath Road, (AK Deb Road)
  7. Gate No 7 on Barsapara Road will enter via Barsapara Tiniali (AK Azad Road).
