One of the most popular events for nature enthusiasts, the 5th Namdapha Butterfly Meet will be hosted again this year. The event is dated to be held on the 2nd , 3rd and 4th of October 2022.
The Northeastern region of the country is home many beautiful animals, birds, fishes and many more. It also has one of the largest varieties of butterflies across the world. The state of Arunachal Pradesh and the neighboring regions of Assam have a particularly rich population. And the Namdapha Butterfly Meet is held every year in the Autumn season to spread awareness about these beauties.
This year’s event will be held in Miao located in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The main tour is a three day event across the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October. There is also an option for an extended tour on the 6th, 7th and 8th of October. The event is open for everyone from students to researchers and enthusiasts to photographers. Food and accommodation has also been arranged for the visitors. This services are available only for a limited number of applicants on a first come first serve basis.
The previous versions of the meet has seen participants from all over the country and spotted more than 400 butterfly varieties.
