Assam government on Wednesday decided to discontinue mandatory covid testing at railway stations, land routes and airports starting from March 1.
The announcement was made by state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday. The decision was prompted by the declining number of Covid-19 cases in the state.
As per a data released on Tuesday, the active number of Covid-19 cases in the state stands at 333.
