The Department of Tourism of the Government of Assam announces multiple contests aimed at highlighting the attractions, to celebrate the World Tourism Day.
Assam Tourism has announced three contests this year aiming towards the theme of Rethinking Tourism with attractive gifts up for grabs. These are a photography competition, a short film competition and a writeup competition. The last date of submission is the midnight of 15th of September.
The experts will judge the photography contest in two categories. The first one is about tea gardens, heritage tea garden bungalows and golf courses of Assam. And the second category is river tourism in Assam. Participants can send in three to five pictures in landscape format for the same. They must be original, should not have any watermark and have a minimum resolution of 6000 x 4000 pixels. And participants have to send their entries to wtdassamtourismphotography@gmail.com.
Major tourist destinations of the state are to be the themes of the short film competition. Videos must be in Full HD format and landscape orientation and between one and three minutes of length. And participants have to send their entries to wtdassamtourismvideography@gmail.com.
The writeup competition is themed Rethinking Tourism and is open for all participants between class 11 to graduation. The length must be between 400 and 500 words and should not be plagiarized. Participants can send them in Word or PDF format. And participants have to send their entries to wtdassamtourismessay@gmail.com.
