The Chandubi Festival is an annual event hosted on the banks of the Chandubi Lake to attract tourists to the locality. The crater lake was formed because of a major earthquake making it a very unique ecosystem. But with the road conditions being very bad in the last few years, the number of visitors remained very limited. However recent up-gradation of the road infrastructures has made access to the location very easy as well as very fast.
Prayers to the their deity, believed to be one of the forms of Lord Shiva is an important part of the festival. The campfire is the the closing event of the festival . The senior members of the community led by their traditional priest offered their respects to the deity by making offerings. And the fire was lit thereafter and the people dances around the fire for some time before the curtains came down on the celebrations.
