The much admired Elephant Safari at Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will restart for tourists from Sunday i.e. 1st November.
Although the National Park opened its doors after about 8 months for tourists from October 21, there was no green signal for the Elephant Safari. Jeep Safari was permitted during the opening at Kaziranga Kohora Range and Western Range, Bagori.
The reopening of the Park was done by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The Chief Minister said that the reopening would help in reviving the tourism sector of the state.
