The Inland Waterways Transport department has issued a new list of timings for the ferry between the district of Jorhat and the island of Majuli.
The following are new the list of timings between the banks. This updated ferry timings will be active with effect from the 21st of September 2021.
- Apahalamukh to Neamati by Ro-PAX Vessel :

- Neamati to Aphalamukh by Ro-PAX Vessel :

The ferry accident off Neamati Ghat had forced the state government to stop all private vessels without adequate facilities on board from plying. Government of Assam has also procured five new ferries for transporting both passengers and goods between the banks of the Brahmaputra river.
