The famous Kaziranga National Park of Assam is ready to welcome tourists from tomorrow, the 2nd of October 2022.
As of now, jeep safari will be allowed only in the Kohora range and Bagori range of the park. Tourists will be allowed only till the Bimoli Tiniali via Donga tower in the Bagori range. In the Kohora range, tourists will be allowed from Mihimukh to Vaichamari junction via Daflang Tower. The remaining areas of the park will open later and necessary notifications will be issued.
The reopening of the national parks of the state marks the beginning of the tourism season of the state. And this will continue till the parks are closed during the monsoons. This year Assam Tourism also organised their World Tourism Day event in the Kaziranga National Park.
Last year the number of tourists coming to the state broke all previous records. And the Kaziranga National Park received the highest ever number of tourists in a season. Local people who attend to various tourist services near the park mentioned that they are ready to welcome tourists in even larger numbers than last year. The safari and accommodation providers are also ready and looking at good number this season.
