The 4th version of the Northeast TSD was successfully conducted on the 6th and 7th of March in and around the city of Guwahati. Although the course was comparatively shorter than the previous versions, this version of the competition saw the players competing at night.
This year’s Northeast TSD competition saw the participation of 26 teams, both from the state and outside under the two categories of Northeast and National. Apart from professionals of the game coming from various parts of the country, the enthusiasm among the amateurs and debutantes was noteworthy. A separate category comprising of only women was also there.
The event was flagged off from Nehru Stadium in Guwahati on the afternoon of 6th March. The first leg of the event saw a nighttime event across the Guwahati Metropolitan and Morigaon districts of the state. Since the TSD version of motor sports rely heavily on roadside markers and landmarks, the first leg of the event was comparatively more difficult than any of the previous versions.
The second leg of the event was flagged off from the same venue on the morning of the 7th of March. This event saw the cars navigating through Kamrup Metropolitan, Kamrup Rural and Darang districts of Assam before finally reaching the end point.
This event concluded with the Prize distribution in the evening in the Landmark Hotel.
