Purabi Dairy organised yoga sessions on the International Day of Yoga to motivate the employees as well as partners to practice it regularly.
Around hundred people participated in the special yoga sessions at the Purabi Dairy processing plant campus located at Panjabari in Guwahati and its other centers in Barpeta and Morigaon. Around fifteen participants from Kamdhenu DUSS of Barpeta took part in these sessions while about twenty five participants practiced yoga at Kapili DUSS of Morigaon.
The West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union, commonly known by the brand name Purabi Dairy, often participate in social activities. These yoga sessions were followed by distribution of milk to boost the nutritional needs of the people. Yoga instructor Sachin Kumar Nath guided the sessions and helped the Purabi Dairy employees and associates learn basic exercises.
The 8th edition of International Day of Yoga will be celebrated with the theme Yoga for Humanity. Union Ministry of AYUSH has chosen this theme for the 8th International Day of Yoga 2022 to be organised in India and across the globe.
International day of Yoga was also celebrated centrally in the Dibrugarh, Assam. It was also celebrated at various other locations across the India in small and large number of participants.
