To cater to the needs of the Assamese people and keeping the growth of Over The Top or OTT platforms in mind, Reeldrama was launched on the 21st of January. It is an attempt to take Jollywood to about 133 countries across the globe.
The inaugural function was attended by a lot of stars including Jatin Bora, Prastuti Parashar, Kamal Lochan Das, Preety Kangkana, Kenny Basumatary, Himanshu Prasad Das, Anupam Kaushik Borah, Atul Lahkar, Mahadev Deka and other dignitaries from the Assamese film fraternity.
This platform has a variety of content like movies, series, shows and music. A kid’s section is also available, which has both animated shows and traditional storytelling. However the main attraction is a masterclass section to train interested people in various sections like acting, fitness etc. in Assamese language.
Genres like comedy, action, cooking , etc. are available in Reeldrama. Apart form new movies and series, old movies and other content are also available on this platform.
The logo of the app was also revealed in the event.
One of the main idea behind this new OTT platform is to cater to local and upcoming talents. With the online presence, this platform can reach a much wider public compared to traditional media.
