Guwahati: The Seemanta Kreeda Mahotsav 24 will be organised from March 30. The sporting event will continue for three days and come to an end on April 1 at the IGAS in Guwahati.
Seemanta Kreeda Mahotsav 24 is being organised by the Seemanta Chetna Mancha Purvottar. The sporting event will take place in the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai of Guwahati. The organisers of the event have mentioned that a total of 765 boys and girls from across the state will participate in this three-day-long sports event. Out of the participants, 346 are girls while 419 are boys.
Participants are coming to Guwahati from 9 locations in the state for this event. These include Dhubri, Mankachar, Cachar, South Karimganj, North Karimganj, Udalguri, Tamulpur, Chirang and Kokrajhar. A total of 106 participants including 53 boys and 53 girls will come from Dhubri. 93 participants including 40 girls and 53 boys will come from Mankachar. Also 99 participants including 48 girls and 51 boys will join from Cachar.
61 participants including 24 girls and 37 boys will join from South Karimganj. 85 participants including 34 girls and 51 boys will come from North Karimganj. Also, the Udalguri team will have 95 participants including 42 girls and 53 boys. And 76 participants will come to Guwahati from Tamulpur, including 26 girls and 50 boys. 66 participants including 37 girls and 29 boys will join from Chirang. And 84 participants including an equal number of boys and girls will come from Kokrajhar.
Sporting Disciplines in Seemanta Kreeda Mahotsav 24
Several sporting disciplines will take place as a part of Seemata Kreeda Mahotsav 24. These include 100 meters, 200 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters and 100 x 4 relay. Long jump, high jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, kabaddi, kho kho and football will also take place.
