The district administration of Cachar has organised special busses for the students appearing in the Mains of the Joint Entrance Examination in the flood effected regions.
The district administration are providing special busses for the students of the district. The Joint Entrance Examination Mains are going on across the state. Since all communications in the Silchar town have been adversely effected by the floods, students are finding it almost impossible to reach their destination.
These special busses will run from the Devdoot Point, in Silchar town to NIT Silchar. This service will be conducted by ASTC. The numbers of these two buses are AS-20-1514 and AS-1891. And the number of the drivers of the first bus is 6002153481 and 8404068283 and second bus is 8822472128. The reporting time for the students appearing in the morning shift is 6 AM. While the same for the afternoon shift is 1 PM.
Cachar is one the worst effected districts in state in the second round of the floods in the state of Assam. With major parts of district including almost the whole of Silchar town has been under water for some time now. In the absence of adequate links, relief materials are being delivered to households by air or boats.
