Another feather has been added to the hat of Kaziranga National Park of Assam with the spotting of a very rare Golden Tiger in the wild.
Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan tweeted about this news with a picture of this big cat by Mayuresh Hendre. Kaswan has also told that this is the only golden tiger in the whole country.
The Kaziranga National park is one of the largest national parks of the region. It also has a large variety of flora and fauna. The One Horned Rhinoceros has its largest wild population in this national park. This National Park also draws a huge number of both domestic and international tourists.
Apart from many varieties of big cats like tiger and leopard, Kaziranga National Park also has a large population of elephants, buffaloes and deer in the wild. It is also the home of thousands of migratory birds of various types in the winter season. Matched with all the facilities like safaris and accommodations, Kaziranga is one of the best destination for visitors.
Being on the banks of the Brahmaputra river, it is also one of the worst hit by floods. Every year hundreds of animals parish in the raging waters of the river as it overflows the plains of the park.
