The Adingiri Urban Primary Health Center was inaugurated on Tuesday near the Adingiri Primary School in Maligaon.
The Inauguration event of the PHC saw the presence of Minister of State for Urban Development and Health & Family welfare Pijush Hazarika, Member of Parliament from Guwahati Queen Oja and Member of Legislative Assembly , Ramendra Narayan Kalita
The Adingiri Urban Primary Health Center is equipped with 10 beds to serve the people of the region. It has separate Male and Female wards and a Labour Room for safe delivery.
As of now this center will have two doctors, two nurses, three ANMs, technicians and a pharmacist on duty. The Guwahati Member of Parliament also promised to give an ambulance to this center .
Although Adingiri is located inside the limits of the city, the nearest medical service is still far to reach from this location .So this newly opened health facility is of upmost importance for the people living there.
Adingiri Urban Primary Health Center is the fruit of the hard work of Late Monuram Marak, Paramesh Mishra and Dharinidhar Thakuria over many years. And the locals say that it is a blessing for them on the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja.
