Announcement about Bamboo Park

As per the projections of NITI Ayog, bamboo resources have the potential to generate economic activities worth Rs 50,000 crores. With these resources, employment can also be generated in rural and remote areas of the country.

The park will be covering an area of about 75 hectares. Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) has also been providing venture fund in Northeast for startup who wanted to invest in the bamboo industry.

Due to its largely fibrous nature, bamboo finds a wide variety of uses ranging from paper to jewelry and bottles to tiffin carriers. It also serves as an important ingredient in many traditional cuisines of the region. Bamboo naturally grows abundantly in the Northeast region of India. And due to its fast growth, it gets replenished almost very fast.
