A local organization in Churchandpur, Manipur has come up with a unique and eco-friendly idea to carry food. Zogam Bamboo Works has made a tiffin carrier or what we usually call dabba entirely out of bamboo. Generally tiffin carriers or boxes are made of steel or plastic. These bamboo food carriers can be a great eco-friendly alternative for carrying food.
A video of this bamboo tiffing carrier went viral on social media after an IFS Officer Sudha Ramen shared it on her Twitter handle on July 6. Appreciating the idea, the Forest Officer added that these eco-friendly carriers can help in supporting many livelihoods.
Another person Golan Naulak has shared details of these bamboo carriers on Twitter for anyone who wants to purchase them. The tweet attracted many curious Netizens inquiring about the price of the tiffin carrier.
Apart from tiffin carriers, Zoram Bamboo Works have made various items with bamboo including mobile stands, pens, key chains, soap cases, hair clips etc.
