The biggest tourism event of Manipur, the Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 begins tomorrow and the state is working to make it a grand success. Manipur CM N Biren Singh will be present on the inaugural function of the celebration.
This year’s event will be a ten day affair. It will be flagged off on November 21 and ends on the 30th. Cultural shows will showcase the rich heritage of the state in terms of dance, music and folklore. Fashion shows will also be organised to highlight the beautiful traditional dresses. Shops and outlets to sale local produce as well as handloom and handicrafts are also part of the Manipur Sangai Festival 2022.
Apart for the cultural shows, cooking and photography competitions are also part of the event. Several competitions have already being arranged to mark the event and prizes will be distributed during the celebrations.
The tourism department of Manipur has also launched a website to help those who want to attend the festival. Tickets for the Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 will be available on this website.
The Hornbill Festival 2022 will start soon after the end of this festival. Even the Indian Railways Catering and Ticketing Corporation has curated a special travel package to attend both the events.
