In view of the rising number of cases of Covid-19 in many parts of the country, Meghalaya Government has issued revised entry & exit protocols. These revised protocols will be in supersession of all the previous notifications issued in respect of entry and exit.
The revised protocols are as follows:
- It is mandatory for everyone entering Meghalaya to register themselves prior to their travel at http://meghalaya.gov.in/covid/testing.htm and to download Arogya Setu app and the Behavioural Change Management App of Meghalaya from play store.
- All entrants, other than those from North Eastern states shall carry a valid RT-PCR/CBNAAT/TruNat negative certificate else they will be treated with RT-PCR on cost basis. If tested, the entrants will have to go for home or paid quarantine till the results are out. The covid negative report will be valid only if they were tested within 72 hours of their arrival at the entry point.
- Entrants coming with covid negative report but showing symptoms on arrival will have to be mandatorily tested by RT-PCR.
- Entrants with a valid final certificate of vaccination will be exempted from testing.
- Day trippers from NE states to be tested using RAT.
- All entrants tested by RT PCR should go into home quarantine or paid quarantine till the results are out.
- It is mandatory for all international travellers entering the state to produce a negative RT PCR test report. The covid negative report will be valid only if they were tested within 72 hours of their arrival If unable to do so, their sample must be collected at the entry point and shall be sent for Rt PCR testing.
- All international passengers must under go home quarantine for 7 days from the date of their arrival regardless of their test results.
- It is mandatory for all that all entrants should diligently follow the three recommended Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour at all times i.e. wearing mask, maintaining social distancing and practicing hand hygiene.
