Nagaland Government on Monday issued guidelines allowing restaurants, hotels and hospitality units to reopen in the state.
As per the guidelines, restaurants operating outside the containment zones will be allowed to operate. Use of paper napkins in place of cloth napkins is also encouraged. Although buffet service have been allowed, social distancing norms are to be followed among the patrons. Along with other precautionary measures, staff or waiters should wear masks and hand gloves.
Hotels and hospitality units too have been instructed to take precautions to contain the spread of Covid-19 while dealing with guests and tourists in Nagaland. Along with IDs and self declaration form at the reception, hotels will be required to register the travel history and medical condition of the guests. The hotels will have to make sure that the luggage of the guests are disinfected before taking them to the respective rooms. They are required to advise the guests not to visit areas of containment zones.
Instead of dine-in, room service or takeaway should be encouraged. Hotels must provide protective gears like masks, gloves and sanitizers to the staffs and guests. Food is to be left at the guest’s door to avoid direct contact.
While providing room service, adequate social- distance should be maintained. The communication between guests and in-house staff should be handled through mobile phone or intercom.
Nagaland took few interesting steps to keep the people engaged in creative works in the quarantine centers.
